16 Ways to Support a Spouse Who Has Fibromyalgia
13. Support her when she says "no"
Help your spouse say “no” when others try and get her to do things that she can’t physically do. In social situations, when things get sticky, say no for her. Step up and be assertive.
On the other hand, if your spouse needs help and you can’t give it, be respectful. Don’t cause friction that would come back to the fibromyalgia patient. Friction only serves to make them feel guilty and unloved.
