This new opportunity to move around by himself has helped Haji and his family to take his mind off the grim tidings and to ease their struggle, as the child will no longer require being pushed around as much, and won’t have to rely on crawling around the house anymore. This gift will effectively allow Haji to enjoy his childhood in a way that would’ve been impossible in other circumstance. Hassan, who was looking into purchasing thicker rugs for their apartment so that crawling around wouldn’t be so hard on Haji’s knees, expressed that she will no longer have to worry about the child hurting himself simply by moving around their home.
