Haji and his family are currently participating in the Statesman Season for Caring campaign, which is an initiative that involves and relays the stories of dozens of Texas families, and actively assists hundreds of other individuals and groups through a sizable list of nonprofit agencies. Haji’s family, in particular, was nominated and recommended to receive assistance by Caritas of Austin, after his disease and struggle came to light.
