Ally's Law: The Restroom Access Act and How It Works

Disaster preparedness

And then, there’s the issue of disaster preparedness. How can one ever totally prepare for the destructive effects of horrific events such as hurricanes and tornadoes?

Comments from some who’ve experienced such events may hopefully get you to think about what you’d need to do in order to meet your medical needs:

On Everyday Health, Kelly shares that “I have learned that what is really important for ANYONE with a chronic disease is to be prepared for ANY disaster. Have your prescriptions filled – do the mail order and make sure that you have at least a month’s supply.”

(Before the storm), “I bought things that I knew that I would need for my disease when there were no stores available.”

Kelly’s advice is to “have a few weeks supply of water in the house and some canned goods that you can eat.”
