There are many other ways to help keep the brain and body healthy. Those include things like making sure to get enough sleep and trying to avoid stress. In other words, when a person takes care of their body and their brain, they are building a strong defense against age-related diseases, such as Alzheimer's. It doesn’t necessarily mean that it won’t develop, and this is especially true if there is a genetic component to the disorder. It will, however, allow the patient to fight the good fight and hopefully be able to hold onto all of their faculties longer.
