Are PTSD Patients More Likely to Develop Lupus?
Environmental factors associated with lupus
Certain environmental factors, such as sunlight exposure, weather, and the average diet of a country can affect the intensity of the disease, as these factors can either exacerbate or prevent the symptoms of the condition. Excessive sunlight, for example, can trigger the dermatological symptoms, while a predominantly unhealthy diet can negatively affect its digestive symptoms, and so on. Currently, over 1.5 million are struggling with lupus in the United States, and more than 90 percent of these cases are of women aged between 15 and 44 years.
