Dealing with the Cramping of Crohn's

Emotions can play a part in abdominal pain

People with a chronic disease can get frequent abdominal cramping, which can ultimately lead to depression. Depression doesn't always present itself in ways that you would expect. If you feel different than usual and have some trouble sleeping, talk to your doctor about these symptoms. Some counseling or medication such as an antidepressant may be helpful. But be sure to also discuss potential side effects of antidepressants and their relation with Crohn's.
