Explaining Multiple Sclerosis to Family and Friends
Make yourself and your loved ones comfortable
Whenever you are going to tell someone the news, you should make sure you both are comfortable. Make sure you have tissues, water, and anything else on hand in case anything happens. Anyone could have an emotional response, and if they (or you) start crying, the conversation could be derailed. When it comes to conversations like this, it's the little things that make all the difference.
Regardless of how you choose to tell the ones in your life, stay strong and know that they will come around and adjust with you eventually.
