Seal: A rare case
As the localized form of the disease is said to be 5 times less common in males than in females, we can say that Seal was unlucky to be diagnosed with it. It is nevertheless more prevalent than SLE. Data shows that 20-40 out of 100,000 people have the disease and most of them are at ages between 14 and 45. Those with a darker complexion and are smokers are more prone than others to develop the condition.
