Pilot fatigue is an issue of growing concern. The fatal crash of a Continental Connection flight near Buffalo, NY killed all 49 passengers onboard and one person on the ground. The two pilots were believed to be exhausted, and documents state that one pilot stayed awake all night before the flight, and the other was seen sleeping in the crew lounge at the Newark Liberty Airport.
