Multiple Sclerosis: The Year in Review

Researchers at the University of Wisconsin showed that even small repairs to create thin myelin sheaths improve nerve function and promote better nerve health in MS patients. Researchers are hopeful that this new information can be used to develop experimental treatments that promote myelin sheath recovery, which will give MS patients more treatment options in the event that their condition is not responding to more traditional treatments.
