Research Questions Link Between Thyroid Disorders and Type 2 Diabetes
While there may be a link with type 1, it's not the same with type 2
It can be said that thyroid disorders may have a link with T1D, but they do not have any direct relationship with T2D. But still both diseases affect the metabolism and have widespread effects on the functioning of various organs. One disease cannot be adequately managed without taking care of another disease. If a person is suffering from T1D, then he or she should be regularly screened for thyroid disease, but that may not be essential in case of T2D.
