On laboratory analysis of cerebral fluid, it was found that the group in which sleep was intentionally disturbed had much higher levels of amyloid beta proteins as compared to the control group. Further, it was also found that if a person was not able to get a sound sleep for about one week then even the amount of tau proteins also increased in the cerebral fluid.
