Lady Gaga’s announcement completely stirred the internet, and she has gained a lot of support from her devoted fans. Meanwhile, The Journal featured a story of a 31-year old mother, Jen Devlin, who has the same condition as Lady Gaga. According to her, fibromyalgia is a relentless illness that never gives her a break.
“There are times when the pain wears me down to pure frustration and plenty of tears. No one can see the pain I endure on a daily basis and that’s the hardest part. If people could see inside my body they would understand why I couldn’t make definite plans,” she added.
Jen Devlin is just one of fibromyalgia patients who followed Lady Gaga’s step in educating people about their condition. Since Lady Gaga’s disclosure of her chronic disease, a lot of the disease’s sufferers have posted their similar stories on social networks, too.
