Unfortunately, the evidence to support these theories is also inconclusive, as there is simply not enough data to draw conclusions. Regardless, our understanding of celiac disease today is much better than what it was decades ago. If anything, we now have medication to address the symptomatic aspect of the condition, allowing those who suffer from it to live better, fuller lives. At least, until the time where a more permanent solution is developed.
