USC Focuses on Prevention as They Develop Alzheimer's Vaccine
The importance of the vaccine
Currently, since there is no cure yet for this disease, there are available drugs on the market and treatment options that can help alleviate the cognitive and behavioral symptoms it brings. There are no means yet to stop the progression of the disease, and reducing the symptoms like confusion and memory loss is only effective for a minimum time.
It is with great desire that scientists are looking forward to having the vaccine developed to finally alter the progression of the disease and improve the quality of life of people with Alzheimer’s.
