USC Focuses on Prevention as They Develop Alzheimer's Vaccine

The study's intentions

The focus of the study is to find a different approach to fighting Alzheimer’s disease. The challenges seen by the scientific community is that researchers are inclined to testing their newly developed medications on people whose Alzheimer’s have progressed further along rather than in the earlier stages. It has been found that the medications fail to be effective in fighting the disease because the brain's nerves are already so damaged. Lon Schneider further says that by intervening the possibility of Alzheimer’s 10 to 12 years before it progresses is a key to delay or even stop the symptoms.
