Wrist-Worn Device Can Reduce Tremors Caused by Essential Tremor and Parkinson's Disease
The device is supposed to provide patients with external stimulation for their nerves
The company developing this device hopes to take the technology a step further by developing a new electrical medical treatment that they refer to as neuro-peripheral therapy. The idea is that these devices will provide external stimulation for the peripheral nerves. They control the movements and senses that allow humans to feel when they touch, move at will and control motor coordination. It will also provide patients some much-needed relief for their tremors, especially those who suffer from other neurological disorders like Parkinson's disease.
