Evidence Suggests that Alzheimer’s May Not Destroy Memories, Only Block Them
Advancing studies
Performing transgenic procedures on mice has long been practiced, and now mice are able to mimic a wide range of Alzheimer’s symptoms and pathologies. These versions of Alzheimer’s are not identical by any means to human cases, but they are a breakthrough in being able to understand how Alzheimer’s presents and progresses throughout the life of the disease. Already, studying Alzheimer’s models in mice has led to a better understanding of how the disease spreads and progresses.
