Fixing up the bedroom

Another place that needs some fixing is the bedroom. This is another room where the patient will stay most of the time since it is the place where the patient rests. First, the caretaker has to install some grab bars all over the room, especially in the places where the patient goes to the most. Probably the most important place to put a grab bar is beside the bed so that the patient can have support while getting up.

It is also very important that his or her sleeping is not disturbed because of the disease. The best way to ensure that is to install aids to allow the patient to move or turn to the side. Also, it’s important to install some stands on the corners of the bed so that the blanket can be slightly lifted. This way, the heaviness of the blanket won’t prevent the patient from taking it out.
