Therapy and possible medication are the weapons used in battling depression.  Medication therapy, however, can take several weeks to help and often causes adverse side effects. Side effects include headaches, sleeping problems, nausea, agitation and increased suicidal thoughts. No one medication can treat depression, and trial and error often takes many more weeks to find the right medication or combination of medications. In the meantime, depression also affects celiac disease.
