Nurses Say That Health Policy Awareness Improves Quality of Care
In 29 states, nurses cannot provide patients the best care because of outdated policies.
As of today, in 29 states nurses cannot provide the best possible treatment due to outdated legal policies. In some of these states, these professionals are obligated to go through several legal hurdles, such as finding a physician to supervise them to approve their diagnosis, treatments, and also to issue prescriptions to the patients, even though nurses in some states don’t face this requirement. Reinhard, through her continued efforts at CCNA, has already changed this in 9 states, allowing nurses to provide full care to their patients.
