It's Time for Educators to Get Educated on Managing Children with Diabetes
Teacher's role in managing children with diabetes
School kids spend nearly half of their waking hours in school and the people they are usually with them most of the time, if not all, are their classmates and their teacher. While usually being the only adult in the classroom, the teacher has to have an understanding of all of their students’ condition and must be trained in how to manage them. Knowing about how to handle diabetic children may prevent immediate health risks and postpone the development of further complications.
