• Are there diseases or complications caused by 4 decades of arduous physical toil, followed by inactivity?

I planted over 1,500,000 trees by hand. I also cut hotline with a chainsaw for 29 years. Tree planting is the most arduous job in the U.S. Cutting hotline [not quite as arduous as tree planting] has often meant constant moving and cutting for 14 hours straight. We can take breaks, but I never have, since time flies when you work very hard. I must always stop to eat. I eat 8,000 to 10,000 calories a day. I am strong, have never had an ounce of fat, and have always slept 4 to 6 hours a night normally. When fighting a fire, I sleep between 2 and 3 hours a night. I get little tiny, natural shots of adrenaline for as long as we are out on an assignment. Sometimes for a month straight. I needed to give that background in order to ask my question. I haven't known or read about anyone toiling as long and vigorously as I have. There are, to my knowledge 8 men that have planted 1.5 million trees by hand. What are some things that may happen now that I am doing no exercise? Can it affect E.D. issues to stop moving after that much movement? I can only sleep 2 out of 3 nights, for about 4 hours each night. Not tired. A Urologist said I do not have an enlarged prostate.

ED is unrelated to planting trees. For all other questions, please see your primary care physician.

Thank you for your service! To my knowledge, there is no correlation to hard work and ED. You may need to see a sleep specialist to see how to get back on a normal regimen to get 7-9 hours a night. Lack of sleep could cause ED side effects. There are hormones that should be checked as well, Testosterone profile, thyroid function tests, and cholesterol levels.
