• Birth control?

I was late on Yasmín birth control by 4 hours today. I had sex last night with my husband. What can I do?

4 hours late on the pill should not affect its ability to cover you for birth control. If you miss one day you should double up on the next.

The effectiveness might have decreased slightly, but overall is pretty similar to baseline with such a small deviation. If you want to have more protection, you could use plan B, but the added benefit is most likely very small.

Four hours is not that late. It’s likely you did not conceive. Have you taken a pregnancy test yet?

I would resume taking your birth control as scheduled. If you are concerned for pregnancy, you can take a plan B.

Hi,
There is nothing specific to do. You can consider taking Plan B within 72 hours of inter course which is over the counter. This is not specific medical advice.
