Good morning, Dr. Rivera, Theres several reasons for muscular crampings. You did mention proper hydration, which is accurate to associate dehydration with muscular crampings. But besides electrolyte deficiency we also have to include vitamin deficiency B12, D3 or magnesium deficiency poor circulation bending our lower extremities too frequently like when sitting or Latin in bed and we cross our legs without letting them stretch over excercise too much straining 2 reps or running for prolonged periods not excercising at all which affects circulation excercise entails a happy medium not too much , but enough to improve blood flow not eating a balanced diet Recommedations seek a consult to perform lab test to measure electrolytes and vitamin levels, haw the doctor include a screening for thyroid, cholesterol, anemia, and sugar levels. Once tested may possibly have a better assessment of any deficiencies may surface. Seek consult regarding self supplementation and which is best. Sincerely, Dr. Rivera
