Burn advice
Hello, I just burned my finger pretty badly on a toaster oven and I'm wondering if I should go to urgent care. The burn itself is white and the rest of my finger is red. It stings really badly but does not feel numb to the touch. I rinsed it with cold water for a while and applied antibiotic ointment and a bandage, but then read online that applying ointment can trap heat inside a burn, so I removed the bandage and carefully washed my hands.

You have 1st degree burn. There is nothing to do except to give it time to heal and make sure to keep it clean.
