I will have a root canal. Can I get a root canal without anesthesia?

You cant get a root canal without anesthesia. However, I would definitely recommend against that. It would be extremely painful and I dont think there is a dentist in this world that would be comfortable doing this.

I would not recommend trying that. The anesthesia directly numbs the nerve which will be amputated and cleaned out with the root canal

If the nerve is completely dead you can try to get it done without anesthesia but not recommend
Because you still feel dr working on your tooth

Good Morning, Anesthesia is to put you completely asleep we usually don't do anesthesia for root canals , we do however need to use anesthetic to do root canal that means we need to numb the tooth we are working on , don't worry You will be ok when doing the root canal modern technology has came a long way for root canals Take care
