My 5 year old son has allergies. I want to know if I can give my 5 year old allergy medicine?

Yes, you can give your five year old allergy medication. Most doctors would recommend Claritin which is the brand or the generic equivalent which is loratadine. It comes in children's formulations for 2-6 year olds. The dose is 5 mg and can be given once daily for allergy symptoms. It usually does not make children drowsy like children's Benadryl and is dosed once a day making it easier to administer.
