if you know you have a UTI then yes you will need antibiotics to treat it. The Dr will usually want to collect a urine sample and send that off to see what antibiotic the bug is sensitive or susceptible to. Hope that helps. Take good care.

urinalysis to check which type of bacteria that is causing your
urinary tract infection.
