Can a baby start teething at 2 months? The answer is yes, but this is very unusual.  If your 2-month-old child is drooling and her hands are in her mouth, this may only indicate normal infant development.  But if you see or feel a tooth, then it is teething! There is nothing wrong with this. We consider it a variation of normal, but quite unusual.

Unlikely. the first signs of teething are usually drooling and chewing on things, which typically starts around 4 mos of age for an infant born at term.
