In healthy population general anesthetic is very safe and no harmful effects have been attributed to inhalation anesthetic. Even In compromised pulmonary condition, GA could be delivered in a safe and predictable manner. In decompensated pulmonary disease there’s alternative to inhalation anesthetic such as TIVA, total IV anesthesia. Usually the anesthetic is tailored to Pt’s condition.
