I will have a colon biopsy. Can general anesthesia for a colon biopsy cause any damage?

Typically no but depending on your age, the meds used, and how well the procedure goes, there are risks for the procedure and the anesthesia.

General anesthesia is not used for a colon biopsy done by colonoscopy. If you are having surgery, then of course there are always risks associated with anesthesia.
