Partial dentures, when properly fitted and maintained, should not cause jaw damage. However, poorly fitting dentures or lack of proper oral hygiene can lead to issues such as bone resorption, gum irritation, pressure points, and TMJ disorders. It's essential to ensure a proper fit, maintain good oral hygiene, and address any discomfort or problems promptly with your dentist.

Usually partial dentures can contribute stress to the teeth and if they are not cleaned, then tooth decay. If partial dentures are worn 24/7 they can contribute to pressure necrosis or loss of bone underneath them. If they are not adjusted to your bite, they can cause discomfort.

If well fitted and well maintained, they should not cause damage. They should be removed from the mouth during sleep and cleaned daily. The fit should be checked by your dentist at your cleanings, at least twice a year. Over time the jaw bone where teeth are missing melts away. If the partial sinks down, it puts more pressure on the supporting teeth and the bite will be off

When restoring missing or damaged dentition it is imperative that the occlusion is properly balanced or it can over stress the jaw ligaments and cause pain and over time damage .

Hello! Not typing. It should be leveled with your existing bite. If by chance it's not then you should go in for an adjustment or then it may cause jaw pain.
