Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), helps you identify and change any negative thoughts or behavior that is making your life hard. CBT aims to help you: cope with symptoms of psychosis such as delusions or hearing voices.

Professionally, I find it helpful for the client to use a combination of both medication and counseling for schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorders. Medication can be helpful to minimize the voices.

The most efficacious treatment is talk therapy and psychotropic medication.
