I am a 24 year old female. I wonder if you can be more prone to cavities?

People are not generally prone to decay. It is more dependent up on your intake and your hygiene. Energy drinks, soda pop are not good for your teeth.

Many factors are involved in the development of cavities such as too many sugary or acidic foods and drinks a poor oral hygiene routine, such as failing to brush or floss daily, not getting enough fluoride, dry mouth, eating disorders, acid reflux disease, which can result in stomach acid wearing down your tooth enamel, genetics, and many more.

There are many factors involved with whether someone has more incidence of decay, including diet, cleaning habits, salivary flow, etc. There is no such thing as being more prone to decay just because of your dental makeup - if people say "I have soft teeth" because they get a lot of decay, it's likely that they eat a diet with more sugar content, they don't clean their
teeth properly (brush frequently and floss every day) or they have poor salivary flow (affected by age, medication, medical conditions).

So, make sure you clean your teeth frequently and your diet doesn't include a lot of simple carbohydrates (high decay-causing) and see your dentist regularly - your teeth can last a lifetime if you pay attention.

Yes. One can be more prone to cavities. Many factors are involved like one’s immunity, enamel strength, eating and brushing habits, etc.
