I am a 36 year old male. I want to know if you can drink alcohol while taking anti-anxiety medication?

IF you are referring to the benzodiazepine class, the answer is NO! It might be life threatening! Please ask your prescriber more details about it.

Alcohol should not be consumed by anyone having mental health problems like depression or anxiety regardless of taking medication or not. Alcohol is a known depressogenic substance.
A modest amount of alcohol is probably okay if you do not notice any negative effects. If you do, avoid alcohol.
