• Covid?

I have covid -19 and my roommate has the new strand, is it safe for us to be in the same room?

Likely, you are having the same strand. In that case, if only you two are sharing a room, there is not much benefit of separation. regards Zhenzhen

Regarding the roomates with a Covid positive result, yes you are both allowed to continue to isolate together. However, Public Health Guidelines require individuals in quarantine to continue to do frequent hand hygiene and sanitizing surfaces. No visitors are allowed to the home. Any drop offs of food or necessities must be contactless and should be placed infront of the door.

How do they know which strain it is? From my understanding, the PCR test can’t differentiate between them.
