Do I have strep throat?
My throat started hurting gradually yesterday. At first, I thought it was from drainage and I might be getting a cold…but then it started to get hard to swallow and it constantly feels like my throat is swollen.

Hi, you need to be examined to determine this is a bacterial infection requiring antibiotics, a viral infection, or another process.
Most sore throats in your age group are viral. Check if their are any clusters of white debris on tonsils. Could be strep. Mononucleosis is also common in your age group. If not better in 2-3 days, or if worse sooner, see your medical doctor or ENT
