• Do braces change the color of your teeth?

I am a 23 year old male. I want to know if braces change the color of your teeth?

Usually no, they don't change the color of your teeth. Sometimes color changes are due to incomplete cleaning around the braces or from cavities. If your teeth are changing color, it would be best if you visit your general dentist for an exam and cleaning. Most orthodontists do not provide this type of treatment when you are being seen for your braces.

No. But if proper and usually extra care isn't performed around brackets, buttons, or other appliances, the teeth can get cavities which change the color of your teeth.

Hi,

No. Braces do not change the color of your teeth. Bad/improper hygiene while undergoing treatment can cause changes in the color of your teeth.

No, they are not supposed to have your teeth discolored. However, having braces can be challenging to maintain good oral hygiene which can easily lead to discoloration of your teeth.
