The bowels do not feel pain beyond the dentate line (1-3 cm beyond the anus ) the most discomfort comes from the pressure of the gas.

No, you will be under anesthesia. Some patients may have discomfort the next day, but it is not so common. If your discomfort persists longer than one day, immediately call your gastroenterologist, and tell him/her what’s going on and follow their instructions. Thank you.
