• Facial abscess?

I am wondering if I need to go to the ER. I have a facial abscess and a bunch of bad teeth. I could easily have ten teeth pulled. The swelling is extending to my nose and up to my eye. The pain is so bad, 1000mg of ibuprofen doesn’t help anymore and neither does the oral gel. I am starting to get headaches on the affected side. It’s getting harder to open up my mouth, like a tight feeling. My pulse has also been on the high side. Resting it’s about 115.

If you have facial swelling that is extending into or near your eye or nose, then going to the ER or a dental office is a good idea. An ER will only be able to prescribe you antibiotics, which wont address the root cause of the infection which is likely a tooth. However the antibiotics will likely prevent the infection from spreading further. Get Outlook for iOShttpsaka.mso0ukef

Time to see an oral surgeon asap facial abscess could travel quickly I would be more worried about the lower because swelling could get so bad it stops the airway but this sounds like an emergency

Yes, you should go to the nearest ED (ER) immediately. It appears that the abscess is spreading. You will need to see a dental specialist in the ED.
