• Family party?

I have a daughter who is 3. We have a family party and my fiancé’s uncle has COVID. My fiancé and I are vaccinated. The uncle might stay home but the family he lives with might come. They say his two sons are barely home and the wife is in a different room. Even if they test negative Friday, should they come? Should I stay home? My family is saying if we’re uncomfortable with that then we shouldn’t go out shopping and to arcades with my daughter but to me, it is knowing someone that’s been exposed will be there.

No you should not attend.

The family that your uncle lives with needs to isolate themselves for at least one week after he tests negative; if the family had a negative PCR test yesterday, they could still have a positive test today; Louis Train,MD

Yes, I would stay home.

I would refer to CDC Guidelines:

My advice will be that all stay in quarantine until the uncle tests negative and they retest since the period of incubation varies 2-14 days after exposure to Covid.
Hope this helps.
