• Flu shot reaction and Covid vaccine?

I had a flu shot in 1996. I had redness and swelling at the site, numbness in my left arm and on the side of my face, and had stuffiness in my left nostril. Since then have had Hep B series, tdap, shinrix, prevnar, and pneumococcal with no problems. Should I get the Covid-19 vaccine?

Yes! Your age is a significiant risk factor for getting more severe COVID-19 disease. The benefit of the vaccine outweighs the risk of for any potential side effects from the vaccine in your case.

Yes. The side effects are similar, but there is no cross-reactivity with the flu vaccine, and you have tolerated others with those same side effects.
Thanks for the question.

Absolutely, YES, as soon as you qualify on the priority list.
