Genital Herpes Transmission
I am a female with genital herpes. Have had it for 15 years. Would like to be with a partner that does not have it. I have only ever gotten sores a few times. Always in the same place, on my butt cheek.
If he wears a condom, I will still get vaginal fluid all over his groin area - so how can he stay protected? Does it pass through vaginal fluid automatically? Does he need to physically touch a sore (or any part of my cheeks/asymptomatic shedding)?
I am taking medication for it, to lessen the chances of transmission. And would want him to wear a condom.
Does it automatically pass through all vaginal fluid?

the virus does not automatically pass through the vaginal fluid, only if the infection is active. taking the antivirals will help to decrease asymptomatic shedding. wearing a condom also helps
