• Hand and feet joint swelling?

I’ve been going to a RA doctor and put on Humira for 3 months for swollen hands and feet that didn’t seem to work. So now he has me on Corcentyx for 3 months now, the same thing no different. The doctor is treating me for psoriatic arthritis, I’m a 58 year old white male, active not overweight. It seems like my fingers are starting to turn in the joint almost like gout I’m guessing, which I have been checking for that too? He does have me on a steroid which seems to help the most but I know I can’t keep staying on it.

You need a full workup to assess why you are experiencing high inflammation, possible food, environmental or gut issues is the root! steroids and drugs like humira is only going to mask symptoms but you need a full work up from a functional medicine provider. Chances are its your gut!

Most patients with RA will have positive RF factor and/or positive CCP
Your Rheumatologist must feel you have psoriatic arthritis with the use of Cosentyx

Not everyone will respond to treatment for PsA
Other options include Rinvoq, Tremfya, Skyrizi, Taltz, Enbrel, Remicade, Cimzia, Simponi, Stelara

I would hang in there with your rheumatologist and discuss other treatment options
