Have had recent severe cold Yes
Have pain in my left ear-with ringing, after recent bout with minor cold symptoms. Do I need medication or will this pass! My physiician is difficult to get an appointment with!

Go to walmart health clinic and ask for an audiogram or hearing test. IF your hearing has significantly changed, you may need a course of steroids if your hearing has suddenly changed during your recent cold.
Other than that, get afrin nasal spray and use it twice a day in both nostrils for 3 days only. Keep practicing popping your ears. the pressure will likely improve, but you want to make sure you don't have a change in your hearing.
