• Hepatitis B?

I have Hepatitis B for the past 20 years and had a biopsy, there is no cirrhosis and no problems. The doctor had me get a CT done. I have increased liver echogenicity with coursing of echotexture indicative of underlying cirrhosis. Cholelithiasis with no evidence of acute cholegstitis. I didn't have blood work done.

You need further work-up to see if your hepatitis B is active or not, liver cancer screening, and an assessment of any liver fibrosis or scarring. I am a liver specialist.

If there is concern for liver damage then you should consider doing a fibroscan as a noninvasive way to look for cirrhosis. I don't know how long ago you had a liver biopsy, but it is the gold standard, so sometimes it can be repeated if a lot of time has passed and there is reason to suspect a change in liver status. A GI doc or hepatologist should be able to advise you on this..
