How do you get rid of geographic tongue?
My tongue has spots on it. My dentist told me I have a geographic tongue. Is it serious?

No. It's nothing to be worried about. The actual cause is not known.

It is a condition that exists in a percentage of the population which manifests by a tongue that looks like a map is on it. No deleterious condition if you have it except that it looks strange.
You should have it evaluated clinically, preferably with an oral surgeon.
