I am a 35 year old female and I will have a septoplasty. How do you sleep after a septoplasty?

With the head of your bed elevated 30-40 degrees. Most patients prefer a recliner or Lay-Z-Boy

Sleep with your back elevated about 35-40 degrees.

You sleep with the head elevated. This is very important. It keeps the post-operative bleeding normal and helps to breathe. This elevation should be with pillows. Be comfortable, but if
you are almost sitting, the better it is. Breathing through the nose is most unlikely due to packing; this is normal.

Initially, most patients sleep on their back with their head elevated on 2-3 pillows or in a recliner.
